Making wardrobe doors...
Hi, would anyone out there have opinons on whether i would be crazy to use either tas oak or western red cedar for frame & panel design wardrobe doors - probably to a max height of 2m & width of 60cm (so ~ 10cm rails), provided the wood is good quality & has been kept well should either of these have major warp issues? Also - is 25mm too thick for the rails - i don't want them flimsy but i can't find many examples of real timber doors at shops nearby to see this...
thanks
David

I made these https://www.woodworkforums.com/f11/sl...creens-112351/ and they were 2700 high by 1200 wide and they fine as long as your bottom rollers can handle the weight and you have an accurate top slide or roller you should be fine but being 25mm thick they will bow after some time, the ones i made were 30 mm thick and showed some minor signs of bowing.....for you consideration. Ps your timber selection should be fine
