Sam Maloof is indeed one of the best there is. His free form work with the bandsaw is something spectacular. I know the darksiders will not agree.

There's a nice article on him the current edition of "Fine Woodworking" (pp 78 ~ 83).
Cheers!

I bought Sam's book about 15 yrs ago and it's still one of my treasures. I gave the book to a friend of mine as he was interested in woodwork. He was so impressed by him he actually went and visited him on a trip to the US. The lucky so and so had his new book signed by him as well which he couldn't wait to show me when he got back. He said he was every bit the person that came across in his book.
