    Default Wedding Tables

I don't usually undertake 'big' projects but was asked if I could make 12 wedding tables with turned folding legs. The setting is an old barn and the outcome would be a design for that era. Customer couldn't really say what he wanted but left the design up to me.

Firstly, I made a 1/2 size model to see if I had interpreted his needs, then moved to the full sized article. Made two templates for copying and now I can go into full production.

Is there an apron or two along the length that can't be seen? Just wonder about sagging over time.

and how are you going to ensure they lock in place?

They would certainly be in keeping with a barn setting, Love the look of it.

It looks good. I'm with BB, you need to cover off on potential design flaws because people do silly things at weddings, like sitting or standing on tables.

There is a 30x90mm subframe under the 130x20mm thick table top. The legs are set 250mm from each end thereby reducing the actual span of the table frame.

Stretcher lengthways on legs would be in the way.
Possibly bigger stretchers ‘tween end legs and one up the centre joining these.

I too have been commissioned to build some tables for a wedding venue, care if I pick your brain on the stretcher size between legs?

Yes fair enough, Just that I have been to few weddings over the years, and trust me there needs to be something stopping the legs from collapsing
