An actual pallet. You can pick them up for free, if you ask around, hard to get a good quality one though. Most of them are hired I think (like the blue chep pallets) so you wont be getting one of them From what a lot have said on here, places that import parts from overseas are a good posibility, as they more than likely wouldnt be sending them back. I got an old one that was on the way to the tip.

How's the build going?
Well, I've finally decided on what to make - not that exciting but practical.
This is going to sound pretty sad but I woke up early this morning and couldn't stop thinking about the thing I'm making - how I can make it look more interesting, what joints to use, what finish, etc.
The timber is dressed and some of it cut to size. I've glued up the first component.
How's everyone else going? Finished? Not yet started?
How about giving us a progress report?

Well, I've got a little pile of wood, and a few pages of thumb-nail sketches. My trouble is all my ideas might only require that amount of wood, but they need more skill and time than I have allocated. And tools.

I asked the MFWAF for ideas and she came up with and entertainment unit and book case. Then cracked it with me for saying there wouldn't be enough wood. Still don't have a clue what to make
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Help yurself
G'Day All
'Help yurself mate ' he said "take what yu want" so I didn't want to disappoint him so took the lot
Now deciding which one to use is the next decision
Pity I've never done any woodwork as such before.
Cheers

Well, have the pallet, and have dismantled it, still to remove quite a few rusty helical nails. Have an idea, must do some experiments, just need some shed time, maybe Tuesday if all goes well.
