wet and dry - hook and loop sandpaper
Not sure where to post this question so its in a couple of forums.
I recently sprayed a burl slab table top with mirratone precat 60% and it's ok but my mentor (the schmuck that introduced me to the smell of sawdust and took my life away ) suggested I cut and polish it - ie rub it down with a very fine wet and dry paper (wet of course) and then polish it with any car polish and it would improve the depth of the finish.
So I inquired about hook and loop wet and dry to use on the ROS but was told I would have to get them made and in quantities of about 200.
So is it worth cutting and polishing and if so any suggestion of who in Victoria may stock hook and loop/valcroe wet and dry paper in standard quantities???prove how bored u really are, ..... visit....... http://burlsburlsburls.freespaces.com/ my humble website

For wet and dry ROS I use 3M plastic sanding discs, available up to 1500 at your local car painter / smash repairer.
Aside from that any cloth backed 'paper' should work.
I'm no expert (especially compared to the people here) but i would stay well clear of car polish, I seem to remember U saying it was essentially evil. (or word to that effect)Great minds discuss ideas,
