    Default What can i make?

    Hey everyone

In about a month or so my dad's reception area is being torn out and a new 1 being built. They are throwing out the old desk and the woodwork on the walls so i offered to take it free. I need some suggestions, 1) what is the best way to cut this to take it home? and 2) what can i make from it? i couldn't think of anything just from the curvature of the desk

The 4 wooden blocks on the back wall are about 100cmx100x5 and are solid varnished wood as well.

I get the granite top and im pretty sure it separates into smaller pieces (if not, some force will work haha)

    Thanks for any replies

It could be used as a basis for a trendy kitchen.

You could build yourself a damned fine bar for the shed with it! I'd be impressed!

    Hey Mitch,

What sort of wood is it?? solid Jarrah or Vaneered Craftwood, I got caught a while back.

How much room you got in your shed?, can you fit it all?

Even if you can not fit it in you still take it.

    Work out the logistics later.

Yes try to save it without cutting any and the time will come you will need something and you can use it to build something. It seems some people have no idea of the worth of things and don't tell them just act as if you are doing them a favour which I guess you have nice one well done. I was working on a job and the owner threw away some nice wood into the skip. Out of the skip and into the back of my one ton for later on.

    Thanks for the replies

It has to be cut up, its on the 10th floor of a building and has to be taken down in the elevator, no join marks so i cant see how it got up there in the first place haha. Uh, its proper wood, i think its something like cherrywood
