    Default what is this?

    Someone gave me this wood, all i know is its from italy, 3 fellow wood guys have no idea, all guesses, the wood is raw and has no finish. Any guesses?

    I have some what I think is brazilian mahogany and looks simmilar to what you have there, came through mexico to the states in the form of wooden crates, its dark with tanish streaks. It reminded me of some wood that I once had from the remington forest...MC
