    Hey!

Just wondering what everyones favourite hand tools are, both unpowered and powered? Post pics if you like

    For me,
    Unpowered: LV bevel up jack
    Powered: festool domino

I know for people like Derek and others, this will be like asking who your favourite child is!?

Powered: Anything Festool, but mainly the new 18v Li-Ion drill
Also my 12,000 Shapton - not really a tool but it keeps the tools nice and sharp.
And my dead-blow mallet - seriously people, if you don't have one, BUY ONE

I'm starting to think this will be the same for a lot of people.

    For me:

    • unpowered - LV Bevel up smoother, Dozuki and my Berg chisels.
    • powered - the mighty Domino.

I make things, I just take a long time.

Powered: Hard to choose between my Bosch Multi tool and Festool Saw and Dust extraction. Festool for accuracy and almost dust free working.

Unpowered: Off set ratchet screwdriver. Does not get much use, but can be great for small areas - think window winders where attached to frame, and extra pressure to keep tip in slot and being able to loosen screw.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

If my missus was asked, and atm i agree, my best unpowered tool is me (besides without me my handtools dont work either).
an my best powered handtool would probably be the trusty beaten up makita cordless drill.

Unpowered : Stanley #5 or the shiny yellow Stanley utility knife. Surprising how often that gets used for marking!
Powered : Stereo (can't plane wood without some tunes!)

Cant say I have a favourite. I like all of them.
When the job is suited to ''that'' tool, then it is the favourite.

    John
