What's a Woody?
Hi,
before you come up with a host of ribald answers, Jim Carroll posted this as his intro to the WWW Show in Melbourne:
"Dont for get to bring along your Woody for 10% discount on craft supplies, No woody no discount."
So ..... What's a Woody and where do I get one?Cheers,

Woody – wooden bodied plane, usually antique (meaning Im not sure that a HNT Gordon, Mufung or a Japanese plane qualifies as a woody)
Woody – shortened version of wood worker, usually male and middle aged or older
Woody – a US automobile similar to an Australian station wagon or panel van with wooden strips on the sides (I have no idea why)
do i get a prize?

Thank you for the dispensation/exemption. Nigh lost otherwise.
Some of the first cars had all-wood bodies. See some of member Hickory's restorations. 1930s station wagons had wood doors fitted to steel bodies IIRC, and maybe a little more of the body. Nowadays, the wood strips are merely glued-on decoration to imitate the earlier work.
