And so we have a gander...

Okay there was one other issue I needed to address... there was a fair amount of flexing at the joint with the rail where this thing hooks under... I had welded the front section to the rail but not the back... so to that end
I welded the buggars!! It works!! no more flexing at the rail
I also mentioned I would have to think about doing the table saw as big sheds done his (or rather doing his ) heres a couple of shots of that right hand side issue... well it might not be an issue I guess depends on if someone can come up with a work around for that bloody access box and the dust extraction thing
mmm will have to go back and check big sheds setup out again eh maybe its already there and Ive missed it?Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Okay just had a gander at big sheds... nope if I want to get that same effect Im gonna have to go the left hand side and that Im hoping Im going to be able to put the sliding table back on so its got to be the right hand side
Sooooo Im hunting a work around... I do like the idea of a cabinet on the right hand side seems a damned fine idea for storing blades and such
Anyway any ideas and thoughts would be appreciated
Cheers!!Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Ding, that's another advantage of having a left tilt saw, the motor is on the other side! Also, my dust outlet is on the back, but I will have to leave some room for the saw tilt wheel.
Still working on the router table dust collection mod at present, will get to the tablesaw cupboards one day
(Says SWMBO, when are you going to make something................, they just don't understand do they?)
The mod to the lever is a great idea, even though I am not having a problem I will do the same thing
(or at least get my son to weld it!). Does it give you more leverage, ie does it come higher off the ground?

Yeah I think it does... not a heck of a lot... before I attached it and whacked the new setup on the thicknesser I could lift and DRAG it... the lift was just almost kinda enough to raise it so that the thing could move albeit dragging on the rubber leveling stand things... now Ive done it and reattached it it lifts a few mm above the rubber and she moves quite freely
One thing... troubling for me... is that the damned shed floor now HAS TO BE clean!! buggarbumbastard Im not really one for cleaning up the sawdust and shyte on the floor I tend to wait till its knee deep before I get into it... buggar but still gotta compromise eh!Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! I am doing a cabinet under the rails and this will have a removable router top which will also act as a table saw extension. I have left a space between the inner cabinet end and the motor and dust outlet, I might move the dust outlet and plug up the original, we will see how it all turns out. The whole thing will sit on 8 casters and has something like 25 drawers in it, I have just recieved the drawer runners from Elraco and can't wait for the credit card bill! This is not a cheap exercise as you need at least 8 casters, 4 under the saw and 4 under the cabinet, plus the materials and drawer runners. I am using one platform which will go under the saw and act as the cabinet base, that way the saw sits at the same level as the cabinet and the top gets bolted too the underneath of the rails, the casters are then all at exactly the same level and everything should roll. I think that unless you have a really good floor like mine the whole lot would be simply too heavy to roll easily. I am going to put the router right at the far end, away from the saw and have a lift up wing outboard of that if it is needed. The router top will be a torsion box probably built of aluminium but I am not there yet so will probably change my mind. This thing has had more redesigns than I have had hot breakfasts and I have only got to the carcass stage so far.

That new camera is a beauty Ding.
If a picture is worth a 1000 words, Ding can now do 5000 + word posts that we can read.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

ooohh so now your expectin all my posts to contain pics instead of words eh?? EGAD MATE!! really now if that were the case you should be quivering in yer sox
Its good to be able to SHOW what I mean rather than having to try to express it in words... words just seem to HAVE to be explained which of course leads to yet more explaining which then leads to more explaining and so the post just BLOWS UP!!! with pics you just keep it real simple an easyBelieve me there IS life beyond marriage!!!
