now that we've largely put the bending issue to bed, will your cabinet have doors and if so how / where will they be hinged?
I'm intriguedregards from Alberta, Canada

there was one one of those in this year's Sturt graduates' exhibition
definitely do the bendy bits before you make anything else.
and after talking to the maker of the unit exhibited at Sturt, I encourage you to build a full scale mock-up firstregards from Alberta, Canada

Good Morning Zed
I would like to support what Ian has been saying.
The bending that I have done, both steam and laminating, have been for the bendy bits in boats during repair/maintenance. No two timbers ever bend the same, but with boatbuilding it gets pretty close and the final fastening (plus some magic words) usually completes the bending process accurately.
You have to work with Mother Nature, not fight her.
Cheers
Graeme
