Wood fastners
Hi, I'm trying to figure out what these fasteners are called and where to get them.
Used to screw chipboard panels together, and in my case, some metal shelves, brackets etc.. They are a course metal thread (like a helicoil but course pitch like a self tapping screw) somehow secured in a hole and accepts a special bolt.
The bolt is about 1/4".

Look up "nutsert". Not sure about other names but suspect there are several others.

Might be worth looking up the Haefle catalogue on the net.

Is this what you want?

Takes an M6 threaded bolt. Inserted into the material by drilling a 7-8mm hole then using a 6mm allan key.
