Wood shutter fittings
My daughter has asked me to 'make' and install one set of plantation shutters in her house. As you would expect I have access to ready made blades of Paulownia and suitably dressed and straightened timber for the framing but I haven't sourced the fittings. A search on the forum showed some ideas quite a few years ago but only a supplier of manufactured fittings in Townsville.
Has anyone made their own plantation shutters and if so where did you get your fittings. Brisbane would be good with the southern Gold Coast the best but anywhere will do.
I have posted this elsewhere but have not had many readers and no replies. I felt it may have been in the wrong place so have tried this subject.

Wooden shutter fittings
Thanks for the reply China.
I had a look at the site and it is certainly helpful. What I did learn that it is a fair bit more complex to make, install and repair shutters than I had imagined. I saw David from Port Phillip Plantation Shutters on the weekend at the Wooden Surfboard gathering on the Qld Gold and he will sell me a set of fittings from his supply that he sources from overseas. However as I only have to produce 1 set it may be easier to buy a ready made kit from him, hopefully at mates rates.
