And that is probably why they now use trampolines and a foam filled pit for dry diving.
Imagine jumping off a dry board and landing on your head on a hard surface?????
The only trick I would use a dry board for would be the hand stand jumps. Pretty difficult to do a hand stand on a trampoline
AND they would not need to be springy anyway.
