Wooden Deck
Hi there, I am new to this forum and have a question for all you experts out there,
I need to build a small wooden deck 1000mm X 750mm and four steps to land to floor, this is exit from our laundry on side of the house.
I was going to get them done in treated pine, as I can’t afford anything else, but certifier says it needs to be non-combustible material as once it’s done it will be 500mm to the side wooden fence.
So you know we DON’T live in FIRE area, we are in Ryde, Sydney, NSW.
What do you guys suggest material wise which is not going to break the bank?
Thanks all in advance.

Bricks and concrete would be a good option. It would be possible to use bricks ( or concrete blocks) to make the "sides", backfield and then sit 80-100mm slab ontop of the whole lot.
