Wooden Split Balls
Hi,
Just wondering if someone could help me please? I'm after 2 inch wooden split balls for craft and I'm having trouble finding them. They're either very expensive from a retail shop and the only places online I can find them are international websites. If anyone knows where to get them from in Australia (or makes them)?? I'm in East Gippsland Vic, that would be great (I'm after about 30 to start with)
Thanks alot Beth

Not sure if this is helpful however I remembered seeing wooden balls at Timbecon (click on link). You could then make a jig and run them through a bandsaw, if you know someone with one.
Hope it does help.-Scott

re:
They're usually made out of pine or one of the cheaper soft woods. I want to make little critters out of them such as ladybirds etc for a board game. I made a game awhile ago out of polystyrene for my little men and they loved it. Thought of attempting it in wood and if it looks good making a few to sell. I've seen them as cheap as 40c per ball but in bulk order from the USA. Thanks heaps for the link too )
Cheers Beth

Sad but true. Its prolly cheaper to get then from OS! The US needs the boast for their economy! 40 cents each? they really need unions don't they!

G'day Beth,
I've bought toy parts from this company; good price; good service; fair postage.

re:
Thanks heaps, I wasn't sure if you could order wooden products etc from overseas due to our customs laws and the shipping price. I think the other company wanted an order of 1000, not too sure if I'll be needing that many balls hahaha!!!!
Thanks again for your help
