The Woodwork Bible – My Grandfather’s Legacy
Just a reminder from the Announcements section ...
I would have missed the original date ... but it's shifted to 9/2/14 ... and actually online now.
The Woodwork Bible
https://www.facebook.com/events/585740818128321/
"John Walton was a passionate woodwork teacher, who began writing the book in 1937,during his first teaching post in regional NSW, and it would take him ten years to see it through to publication. The book’s sold in excess of 300,000 copies in Australia, with six editions and thirty-one re-prints."
"Kate Walton, John's youngest granddaughter, ... went in search of the story of the book, and the man behind it."

"This is the exact desk and typewriter that my grandfather wrote many of the revisions of his seminal work 'Woodwork in Theory & Practice'. I'd like to thank my uncle Geoff Walton for lovingly setting up this photo and providing with this photo. I think it helps me envision how my pop worked when it came to writing/re writing the textbooks."
The chair is "part of" the desk!
