Hi Everyone,
I'll be visiting Kobe in Japan within the next couple of weeks. I'd like ot buy some Japanese woodworking tools e.g. chiesels atc. Could anyone, in particular forum members who live in Japan, direct me to the right address?
Cheers

When I was in Sapporo I went to 'Tokyu Hands' I think it is a chain across Japan.
They had everything you could want and at what, to an Ozzie, were ridiculous prices. Hope the Yen dies for you.
Just found this link, pick your most convenient

Hello,
I live in Fukuoka, long way from Kobe. Tokyu hands is a chain store (one is now being built in Fukuoka)
Dont know if kobe has one, but I know Osaka has a huge Tokyu hands, I visited it recently while at a Karate tournament in Osaka.
You can get to Osaka quickly from Kobe on the train.
Cheers. Gary.

Kobe has a Hands, better than the Osaka branch by about 10,000,000 times. Better than the Hiroshima branch by only 10 times.
Don't bother going to the Osaka one for woody stuff. In fact, unless you walk past the Osaka one, forget about it. Kobe is much better.
I'll try and work out directions to get there, just not right now. There are hundred of stores all around the area (main Kobe shopping drag) so you won't have any trouble shedding some cash.
They are not super cheap, but they do have all manner of things there. I'll try and find out if there are any other stores around that might be useful. Also ask Triton Japan since he isn't far away from Kobe either.
Helps to have most of the in laws from/in Kobe when finding things there.
