What station will it be on? If you can't say, can you at least say if its a national station?

    Nathan.

    Hi Nathan,

Will publish all details when completed I am under the impression it will be streamed online after it's been on air.

Will double check that point this week.

    Cheers

Sorry Kids beds didn't make the first series. however with the techniques shared and projects discussed you should be able to adapt them to Bedroom Furniture... Beds included

Congrats on getting the go ahead.

Can't wait to see who gets voted off after the first ep.

And don't forget to stretch things out too:
"Now here we have a mortise....
*camera zooms in on each individual's face for 15 seconds*

    ....and....
*zoom thing again going back to the same person 2 or 3 times*....
    *6 minute commercial break*
    ....
    *recap*....
*more zooming including the host who is standing around starting blankly into the camera*
    ....
    tenon."
Every time you make a typo, the errorists win.

It has become a reality, the station decided it's worth a try and have undertaken to create a 6 program pilot series to check market response.

First Production team meeting is this coming Friday, all very exciting and a bit scary at the same time.

Will post details as they come to hand with shooting and to air times.

Thanks once more, you all help make this happen.

    Cheers

Thanks Steve for for being a proactive instrument, in getting at the very least a pilot off the ground. Now all hopefully is required is a dedicated enthusiastic response to the pilot .

If and on a decision to go ahead with the series please enthuse about a DVD set to cover the series. This in itself as has been suggested may offset towards the production costs!Think of the mens sheds out there who might very well contribute.
The WW community in Oz needs this to compliment the other mediums like this great forum we use .

Best wishes on moving forward with this

    Cheers

And if I get hurt blowing something up for Ball Peen i'll be sure to put on a bright blue band aid and faint for good measure.
In reality (bad choice of word I know) i'll be flat out getting what I want done in the 30 mins allotted without building the drama and suspense for fillers.

    Cheers

    Tony.
My thanks to everyone for your support and input on the project.

First production meeting was on Friday.

The really great news is I can have a split production meaning some will be recorded in my Workshop while the rest will be in a studio.

Cool part is I can now do actual sequences on machines instead of trying to explain the process.

While most of the hand tool work will be carried out in the studio.

The pilot project will be a small side table with a draw and cabriole legs with wings.

Still have to draw it up, but it's a project when broken down and the steps followed is simple.

Along the way there'll be demonstrations and techniques of using and maintaining various hand tools and other equipment with a section focusing on homemade jigs and things.

Currently building a website to back it all up where all steps and more with be available. With the opportunity of a Q&A facility.

Air time is scheduled to Sept sometime.

If all goes well could be a series next year.

    Exciting times ahead.

    Cheers

    Steve

Drawings are all finished and 1st prototype is 75% built. Just working out the best proportions for the cab legs, few more trial ones to build yet

Episodes have been broken down with the project build. Another meeting later this week to make sure I've done it right.

    Then back to the bench.

    Cheers
