Workshop space needed - Melbourne
Hiya,
Does anyone have, or know of, some workshop space available for little or no cost. Perferably near Kew. Will gladly share expenses and make my machinery available (don't touch my hand tools!)
I need around 40-50m2 of space, short-term or longer.
Cheers

I have the same problem, i work out of a single car garage at the moment and have been searching for similar size in area. I have come across that many people that need space this size it ocoured to me that someone needs to build a warehouse with lots of small areas within that are secure.
Alas cant do that due to insurance issues, but it was suggested that a rent a workshop that has tools contained within can work.

Although you mention the Kew area specifically, there is a company in 2/239 Kororoit Creek Rd Williamstown (3km off the freeway) that provides some good services. Get Woodworking runs classes and you can also build your projects in their workshops using their machinery.
Some of the services offered are: tools, machinery, supplies, classes, turning workshops and casual workshop hire. Their phone is 03 9399 1963
(I am not associated with the business other than as a customer.)Last edited by Groggy; 13th January 2005 at 10:44 PM. Reason: further info provided

I am in the Balwyn area and have a similar requirement. Perhaps we should get together for a beer and flesh out a plan!
