Wrought Iron or Antique style Hinges
Thank you all for your responses Can anyone help me find some in Brisbane? Looking for black tee style hinges like the ones on old barn doors. Have tried all the usual hardware stores like M10, Bunnings, etc Thanks again

In Adelaide there are at least two stores specialised in "period" hardware. I would be surprised if you did not have the equivalent in Brisbane. Look for "salvage, "restoration" in the yellow pages, a couple of phone calls should be enough to get you on the right track. Welcome and best wishes.

Try rural stores or fencing mobs. Most will be Gal but a coat of primer and some stove black or the like and finished.
If you want a better vintage/antique look, burn of the Gal allow to rust for a couple of days, hit with a wire brush and then apply some dark wax. Damien.I'm a dancing fool! The beat goes on and I'm so wrong!!!!

If you count 'delivered by mail' as in Brisbane, then Lee Valley have a nice variety of heavy & medium iron hinges - MoPS have a very limited range of the medium, brown rust finish ones.
On the Internet, I'd avoid 'Van Dykes' Restorers' as the quality if some of their stuff is very poor & they charge like the proverbial wounded bull. Nice pictures tho'
