Default ya gotta get lucky some times....

A few weeks ago, somewhere between the third and eighth drinks at a friends place, I noticed a family treasured cabinet against the wall and looking legless!
No-one could remember it having legs ... but all agreed that it should.
I volunteered, it was measured up with a cloth tape, the colour was assessed as being between shiraz and merlot with a bit of muscat and work started a day or so later....

I made a simple base from sapele, 4 legs curved on their inner faces to match other furniture in the room, 4 inset aprons with haunched tenons, stained with Wattyl 'traditional cedar' (= shiraz + merlot + muscat?), 6 coats of gloss WOP and, with great trepidation took it around this morning fully expecting it to either not fit, not match ... or both!

    Hi Fletty,
Definitely improved it! And looks like it should always have been there.

    Cheers
