In New Zealand for my dads funeral (99.5years) one week in hospital. so happy he went so quick. but shoit things that come to haunt us. Trying to sort his crap out we come across a small folding table suitable for TV dinners or over ya legs in bed type thing.....that I made 57 years ago. what the 'ell? did it in woodwork class cause that was easier than any other subject. its as rough as guts and NO pictures and NO not keeping it.

    just a weird situation.

Your dad must have thought a lot of it..to keep it for that long. Maybe he was very proud of you for making it.

Sorry but to hear about the loss, and Dads are funny creatures, they keep all sorts of things..... except when one of them injured them! My effort was a metal work project, a cold chisel. And still in the lack of understanding stage I thought during the hard and tempering phase, that it needed to be hard. So I did, over and over again to the point that it was too hard and became brittle.

then came laundry fix up time and the removal of tiles was needed, so my dad broke out his trusty cold chisel that his son made. It lasted about all of 2 hits, the third hit had the club hammer smash straight into his hand after the chisel shattered. He became very wary of anything I made after that. It’s probably why the jack stands I made never got a look in.
