Red Lancewood or Black Gidgee in/to SA?
I'm looking to source some hardwoods for spindle work, preferably Red Lancewood or Black Gidgee. I need to end up with blanks somewhere around 40mm square if straight and pieces 200mm to 450mm long. I'm in Adelaide.
I'm open to suggestions of similar timbers in terms of hardness, fine grain and resistance to splitting. Mulga is a possibility but I think it can be a bit knotty.
