    Default Zero dollar moxon.

Well what do you do in another lockdown but take to the shed.
Been thinking that a moxon would be handy for a while now seeing as bending over the bench is getting to be more of a chore the older I get. I have some bluegum thats nicely dried and was about to spring for the hardware then I had a light bulb moment. Just a quick job in pine to see how it goes but it cost nothing. Holds just fine and can clamp tapered shapes.

    John

    Nice idea, John.

I use QuickGrip Clamps in a similar manner as hold downs on my bench top. Just insert them through the dog holes.

You have just solved how I am going to hold 24” wide panels when cutting dovetails next week, thank you!

Thanks all for the positive comments. I guess the idea gradually came from using a bench bull for a few years.

Its basically just the back jaw and you have a verity of clamping options. Just kind of went the next step with a front jaw. As I said I was about to order a moxon kit so the money saved is a nice bonus.
