Zyliss Vise Manual
Hi All,
I have been given a Zyliss Vise slightly water damaged but mainly superficial except for the manual. From the video it's the best D*med thing any one ever used. The manual has all its pages stuck together and it does not want to come apart even after re-wetting it.
Has anyone got one of these and if they have could the pages be scanned and sent to me. If you could help please PM me and I will send my email address. The video is good but not as portable as a manual
ThanksBrian

Do these things work? Every year I go to the ww show and they are flogging them out the door as never to be repeated prices. There was even a competitor this year with a similar product, so people must buy them. Any thoughts?

Thank you Bob I had found the web site but only found promotional material. I have now printed and saved the manual.
Do they Work, I don't know but for the price I paid it can't Possibly hurt to try.
Thanks again BobBrian

Outsider please let us know how you get on. I to have watched this demo twice and could not make up my mind if I needed one. I have a Triton Super Jaws and have got so used to using it. The Zyliss looks like it will take lots of practice??? The demo's are aways so slick!

Do you have the original manual now or just the promotional material. I am pretty sure that I have the manual in my workshop and will be more than happy to assist.

The Zyliss is a very useful vise for those who lack the space for a permanent workshop. Proper woodworking vises are less versatile but better suited to woodwork. I bought mine about 25 years ago, but last used it about 15 years ago (I had even forgotten I had it). Make me an offer if you interested in it (swap or sell). I should have a newish video to go with it.
Regards from Perth

I'll own up - I bought one at the WW show in Brisbane this year and I think it is great and use it frequently - take it to the job rather than the job to it. [do I duck the hand grenades now or later].
It is very expensive [no don't tell me how little you paid] and I did wander out of the place thinking "Had I done the right thing?"
My only gripe would be the looseness of the nut on the shaft that the handle engages but unless I can figure out why it is so sloppy I'll tighten it up.
Regards,
Bob
