Spotted Gum
Wanting to plant a few spotted gums in the backyard. I live near Toowoomba and am wondering if they'll grow up here and where I could get some seed/lings.

I live at Goombungee and they do grow here. Just watch your soil type, they may struggle in heavey dark soils.
Try Greenwattle Street Nursery. I picked up quite a few from there last week. They have them in tubed stock. Just watch that you are getting. Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata (sometimes called/used to be called maculata) is the one in QLD that grows around here. Corymbia citriodora subsp. citriodora or Lemon Scented Gum (Spotted Gum) grows further north from around Maryborough.Bruce
I never try and get my ambitions and capabilities mixed up, but a few cold beers, on a hot day, and well, you all know what happens next!

Should grow fine there, just protect from frost for first couple of years.

Hmmm, protecting it from frost might be difficult
