Shippers, let me know what you are after. I have contacts in japan (where I live). Quality can be from home brand to museum pieces. If you are keen let me know your budget. Damien.

    thanks Damien,
would be looking for a saw for cutting tenons in our fabulous hardwoods.
Not sure if my budget will help.
Certainly cant afford to spend anymore than $100 aus at the moment

Don't forget to check out So Yamashita's site: www.japan-tool.com.

He has quite a few saws for sale, may or may not be in your price range but you'll find his web site quite educational. He has quite a few posts in this section as well.

I have purchased tools from him and found him to be very good to do business with, however I think he's quite busy at the moment.

    Cheers

Shippers, here is some info about the saws at the local 'bunnings' picture 1. is a 270 mm Blade with handle for about 15AUD.
Picture 2. has a blade length of 300mm for about 12AUD but needs a separate handle for another 9AUD. Postage would be extra but I doo believe to be minimal as these are both very light. Damien.
