You're not missing much, anyway. There isn't any new stock on there since the Fujihiro Kiridashi's posted back in November.

if you read the message though, you'll know that business seems restricted by supply not demand anyway, so an updated website is not going to improve that....

Hi, hey has anybody bought from Japan Tool recently?
Just wondering if it's still a happening thing or not. There's not a lot of stock as many items are displayed as "Sold Out".
However there's still a few goodies left that i'd like to buy, such as a chisel, hammer and saw.
Sent them a email the other day, but no reply yet.
    Cheers,
    Sea.

I just used them a couple of weeks ago for the first time and couldn't fault their service, so I think you should be right to go.

Thanks for the reply, that gives me the confidence to go ahead and place an order.
Did you use the shopping cart page or just place an order?
Also, if you don't mind, did the delivery take very long? Just wondering if it's Australian stock.
    Thanks again.
    Sea.

I used the shopping cart and the items only took a few days to arrive. Their communication was excellent.
They are half way between you and me so the timing should be similar if they can get over your Qld border.

    Thanks mate.
Time for a bit of shopping. Almost finished making a new wall hung hand tool cabinet and it's looking a little sparse.

Any photos of the cabinet? I always like seeing what others have done with theirs.

Yeh, can try and post some progress pics tonight.
Not sure which is the best thread for that.
I can put them here and somewhere else maybe?
Tried my hand at some veneering with Blackheart Sasafraas for this one.

Tool Cabinet. Red Oak and Black heart Sassafras. Conventional style of cabinet with plane till, shelves and draws. Still very much a work in progress, so we'll see how it progresses.
Hopefully will keep my tools a bit more protected from our salty environment.

That looks really nice. It will be the perfect home for all those tools.

Yes, very nice, indeed. The grain in the doors looks wild (lovely) - almost says, "do not open unless you're serious". Thanks for posting!
