    Default Japanese chisel ferrules/hoops

    Hey all!
I am a carpenter by trade, and a hobbyist blacksmith. I started blacksmithing too make woodworking tools, and I'm hoping that over time I can make a full set of chisels. I have only forged a 18mm and 24mm so far, and only put a handle on one of them.
Has anyone purchased tapered ferrules and/or hoops for japanese chisels before? The hoop is easy too forge, but the tapered ferrule is time consuming. I wouldn't mind speeding up the process of making them. I enjoy the chisel forging and pattern welding. The handle is teadious.
