    Default Used Japanese Tools

Hi, this is my second post to the forum(s). I am a self confessed tool junky. I like second hand tools especially, and all the better if they have some identification of the previous owner, a sort of provenence. I recently visited a Sydney based importer of Japanese tansu, and noticed some used tools. To cut it short, I purchased several planes, chisels, a hammer, a traditional line marker and two saws. Both are old saws but beautifuly sharp. Both are sharpened as crosscut, one in a more western tooth pattern. Handles are wood (pine?) and are made for two handed operation. Blades are 325 and 500 mm long.
I like to use all that I buy, and these saws particularly, are superb.
The outlet is EDO Arts on Mona Vale Road.

I should have mentioned that I have no affiliation with the company mentioned.

    Hi Cliff,

    Yes we like pics.

Great little selection there. Those saws look fearsome. Good pick-up.

    Cheers
