Hi, I spent a couple of years machine operating a commercial CNC in a kitchen shop. Our system was design in Cab Vision 3 (upgraded to 4), sheet layout and label prep via EnRoute, cut on a 14 tool 2400x1800 Procam CNC. The particular combination worked very well and was very reliable, but the boss had a lot of money in it, and spent a lot of time setting up for all of his tool parameters etc. I never had anything to do with the CV side of it, but worked with EnRoute a fair bit swapping layouts around to suit available stock etc. More than happy with what I could make it do, given that I walked in off the street with basic general woodwork hobbyist background to start operating machine.
As I said, not a cheap option, and a lot of work to get set up properly with tool profiles etc, but once set up, very capable and reliable once set up.
Hope this helpsI used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

the 20k option may seem steep at the time of commission, however, the time it saves with everyday use being integrated into cabinet vision will pay itself off in productivity time savings.
Cabinetvision / Cabinetware are both "oldschool" programs compared to whats available these days to run CAD/CAM/Productivity in a joinery situation. I would get your boss to check out PalletCAD/ASPAN as an alternative to
Cabinetvision.

Oh, check with Biesse, as they have supposedly have a module that links Cabinetvision with Biesseworks. However i have been told by a Cabinetvision Reseller it isnt as refined or flexible as having S2M module.
