CAD & SketchUP Video Tutorials - DoubleCAD XT and Google SketchUP

Hi all,
I thought I would add a thread here for anyone who is interested.
My background is as a structural drafter and I have more than 7 years experience using CAD programs and 3D software. I am new to woodworking and have been trying to combine my experience with CAD with my keen interest in woodworking.

I have been using the free CAD programs DoubleCAD XT and Google SketchUP for a few months now and have developed a few video tutorials aimed at beginners to CAD software. All of these videos are available on my website at craftyCAD also on my youtube channel craftyCAD YouTube

To start with is the DoubleCAD XT Beginner Video Series:
In this video series I draft up a wooden workbench to introduce the DoubleCAD XT interface, the basic commands, and a few simple CAD principles. (As I mentioned I am new to woodworking so the sizes and dimensions in this tutorial are probably not the best - the CAD stuff is still applicable though

)

Here is the first of the short video "mini-tutorials' demonstrating a single concept. In this one it's the basics of the different types of coordinate systems in most CAD programs. Again I'm using the free version of DoubleCAD XT for this tutorial.
