Default Is there a way to CONVERT woodworking project plans/drawings from a pdf doc into skp?

When I say convert I mean tell sketchup there are elements in the pdf.

And NOT just import a photo /image and start tracing.

The project is simple enough for me to simply start from scratch with a new skp project without import.
    And build from there.

But thought I'd take the opportunity to try / learn something different.
    Thanks,

If the PDf is a vector PDF then yes it is possible with 3rd party software to convert to a dxf. However it will require substantial work to scale correctly, layer etc. If not a vector file its nothing more than an image. Search Ghostscript.
