Hey Barry,
Be aware there is a glitch in there somewhere with the registration. I used mine for the trial it lapsed and then I registered and paid. I think it was about the registration number/code, or something. Don't panic though I did get a reply from the guy and it's worked ever since without a unique code..It worked straight away once I paid.

No prob.
Had a bit of a go at a non panel cut list.
Tried to export using that extension but for some reason it wouldn't generate.
Maybe the extension knows it wasn't a panel somehow.
Just beeped. no message.
Or I didn't define the items the way I needed to.
(have to save the .skp file then select an object)
Just manually typed it my Stock of 12 various lengths x 70mm.
Didn't need to tell it the 35mm depth.
Then manually typed in my parts needed.
And it worked.
It picked out the most suitable lengths of stock and generated the cuts.
Didn't need enter to the 35mm depth.
and printed a report of just the parts.
very happy with this.
Thanks a million for posting this suggestion.
Decent for the price.
The other two versions seem a bit expensive in comparison.
Much appreciated.Thanks,

Barry
if this is the model you are trying to generate a cut-list for, the drawing appears to have a number of surplus lines which may be the cause of your diffioculties

Those lines are just Sketchups way of showing you which object has the current focus.

the dimension 26 mm at the bottom of the drawing doesn't appear to refer to an object.

Hi Ian,
Good catch.
The 510 x 26mm is the pin.
510 being the depth of my cabinets.
26 mm is the 18mm depth of the jig face + 8mm of the 10mm rebate depth.
Leaving a 2mm clearance so as to not bottom out on the bottom of the rebate.
After the first rebate/trench,
You pic up the jig and move it down and slot the pin in the rebate.
Lining up for the next rebate.
This was more of an exercise in Sketchup.
Forcing myself to plan, plan and plan before building.
It worked ok on 60 rebates.
But by the end it was so much tear out
The first drop broke the 8mm bottleneck on the jig rebate. Thanks,

Really happy with the Simple Cutting Software X.
CutLIstPic.jpg
Wanted to get some cuts sorted for the next 6 drawers.
Didn't want to stop n start etc.
And wanted to have another fair go at this SCSX.
SCSX did generate my sheet layout and my cut list steps and the parts labels.
Regrettably the cut list steps were not numbered and didn't include when to label the parts.
I saw ahead and set my fence only once and excluded a number of cuts by doubling up the cut by stacking two parts together then running thru the table saw.
I'm thinking its a CNC list and not a table saw fence set list.
Unless thats another setting I didn't see or understand.

I have a rule I try to stick by when purchasing software.
It has to do what I want before I buy.
I have to remind myself NOT to buy in hopes of better features in the future or better support with purchase etc.
I do have to write I asked the author for some help on a really simple questions.
Instead of just answering my query he wasted the opportunity by asking me if I had purchased the software yet.
I haven't heard from him since.
So a the end of the day I've got thru 1/3rd of the cuts and know exactly where to start again tomorrow morning.
And feel confident I can finish all 30 cuts without messing it up.
I'll definitely be purchasing.
Maybe even tonight.Thanks,

Registrated.jpg
Registered!
LOL.
18 mins after registration my query was answered.
The author is a bit of a scumbag.
So don't expect any support before purchase.
Makes the ethical software developer look bad.
Otherwise, very happy with what the software does for me for the price. Thanks,

Thats ok.
You don't have to understand.
It's a software development industry thing.
A super simple query.
A simple answer could have gone a long way.
Even for a trial period.
For me the trial period is not just for the software.
But for the support as well.
Even if they actually quote "no trial software support".
More of a test of authors integrity.
Author failed. As far as I am concerned.
Was more interested in money than a simple and quick answer.
The product isn't good enough for that kind of attitude.
I purchased for what it does for me right now.
On a very minimal basis. With me having to do a lot of workaround.
No fantasies about support or future product development.
Nevertheless, I do appreciate you bringing the product to my attention.
I don't expect you to support nor answer for the author.
Of course this is my opinion only. Thanks,
Barry G. Sumpter
