    How do you?

I want to draw a flue in the top of the back radius where the squarish thing is at the moment, I only want it to go through one skin of arch work.

Sketchup wont draw on radius objects.

    Hi Al.
Is this what you are looking for? (See attached Sketchup file).
Not sure of thickness of flue or height.

I drew a rectangle first (not positioned on top of the oven but next to it). I used the offset tool to create a smaller rectangle inside this. I then used the push/pull tool to extrude to whichever height you desire. This created the flue. I triple clicked to select all of the model and made it into a group. I then used the move tool to position it on top of the oven, using a corner point as the reference point.Once in position, the flue can be moved in a negative direction (down) on the blue axis. I selected the flue - looking from a front elevation view so when moved it would move along the blue axis - and typed a negative number to position it down into the top of the roof of the oven.
Hope this is as clear as mud.

    Next
    Right click on the flue.
Select Intersect -> Intersect with model.

    This forms the intersecting lines.
