looking something more complex, i have looked at Stairbiz, any one had anything to do with this program.

I pretty much want something so all i have to do is put the data in etc, and it give me a cut list, and a coded program so i can run it on a biesse.

I am not familiar with biesse machines, but I suspect that what you want is not going to be simple.

Any of the top flight CAD programs has the ability to draw and output to various sources. They all have database functions for cutting lists. The all have programing modules that allow the user to automate certain tasks. For instance I have a macro that allows me to punch in two parameters, ht and width, and it will draw me an aluminium louvre window, with the correct number of blades and mullions to the max. BCA glass sizes. The objects drawn could then be named and collated in the on board database for a cutting list. There is an enormous learning curve to all this though.

I have used my CAD program and given a disk with a drawing on it to a steel supplier and they have cut steel strings for me, (and heaps of other profiles too) but I suspect they used my disk data just to input into their proprietary software for their particular machine.
    Cheers

I think you are starting at the wrong end. First find out what the CNC machine wants and then set about finding out how to provide it.

I don't know much about cnc and the programs that are needed to program it, but you could go to this forum and they may be able to help you.

This is a dedicated cnc forum and seem to be quite knowledgable.

    Hope this helps.
