Trailer leaf springs Sketchup file required
Hi all,
I am in the process of designing up a trailer and was wondering if anyone had, or knew where I could get, a Sketchup file of a trailer leaf spring?
If someone could point me in the right direction or provide this file, I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Glenn (a newbie to the forum)

Hi Glenn,
In Sketchup, go to File>3D Warehouse>Get Models
Type in leaf spring and hit enter.
Voila...Enjoy
Cheers

Hi Jim,
Thank you for your suggestion but I had already been there and unfortunately they didn't have the type of leaf spring I want to fit to my trailer, what I may have to do is put the "slipper spring" style spring on just for the drawing but install the "eye-to-eye" spring with rear spring shackle on to the actual trailer, I *was* hoping to get the correct style Sketchup spring drawing just for asthetic reasons.
If anyone else knows where there is a Sketchup leaf spring drawing with the "eye-to-eye" springs, I'd really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.
Cheers,
Glenn

No worries Glenn,
You don't feel confident enough to alter it to eye spring?
Might be good practice.
Load up the slipper spring you're using here.
I'll have a look at it if you wish.
Cheers

Glenn, try this one.
It's a full model but the springs on it may suit.

Hi Jim,
That leaf spring setup is perfect for my needs, thank you VERY much for all your help
As for your suggestion of modifying a slipper spring, well... I am new to Sketchup and not confident enough to make my own *yet*, BUT... I will certainly practice on modifying it at a later stage, just as you suggested, as this would certainly increase my skill level and I really want to become quite proficient with this program as I have a number of ideas which have been swirling around in my head... just waiting to be put to paper (or the screen in this case).
Thank you once again.
Cheers,
Glenn

You're quite welcome Glenn.
Have a go at the tutorials built into Sketchup.
They're a great way to get a handle on things.
They worked for me anyway, and I'm no Einstein.
Cheers

Hi Jim,
I will most certainly have a go at all of the tutorials, in fact I have been referring back to a couple of them as I go, if you are interested in checking out my trailer design it is located here:
