    Default BA Falcon central locking

    My BA is the pauper pack, no remote just the key.
    I lock it and it locks, but if you lift the drivers side rear door handle it disables the central locking.
    Before I pull the door card and physically disconnect the outside door handle, is there a "proper" fix for this?

    Know nothing about Falcons later than the X series, but normal for central locking is to have Master units on the doors that accept keys to lock/unlock, and slaves on the remaining doors. The difference is that the slave units only act on instructions from the controller and do not send info back to it, whereas the master units respond to commands from the controller but also send new commands to the controller if/when the door is locked/unlocked with the key.

    Does lifting the door handle only unlock the particular door, or trigger the control unit to unlock the entire car?

    Do you have accesss to a service manual showing linkage and wiring arrangements?
    I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
