Hi Corbs,
I purchased a 96 Liberty wagon in 06 with 285k on the clock. When I test drove it I noticed the clutch would shudder violently if using too much RPM on take-off, not slipping though.
Still have it, now has 345k on it..........original clutch.........still not slipping. I know the service manager of the dealership where it was sold and serviced, also the mechanic who took care of it post-warranty, both of whom confirm my vehicle has not had the clutch replaced.
I put an inspection camera in between the clutch fork and the transmission housing to look at the edge of the friction plate and I'm confident the ol' girl will make it to 400k at least.
I reckon I've been lucky but I do drive as economically as possible. You've done ok mate, I think 230 - 240k is pretty reasonable...............
