UM.... did you replace the in line fuel filter and flush the line?

Diesel or petrol?

If diesel, did you prime the pump?

Might have to bleed the air out of the system also.

It's petrol
Changed the fuel filter at the same time it's part of the pump unit
Removed the fuel line at the fuel rail and ran petrol thorough first to clean the line then reconnect it back to the fuel rail

Don't know anything about Jeeps, but a lot of FI petrol engines have two pumps, a low pressure in the tank at the pickup point, and a high pressure pump in the fuel line between the filters and the engine.

The low pressure pump provides a constant flow at about 5-7 PSI to the HP pump which connects to the fuel rail and injectors. High pressure pumps output 60-80 PSI to the rail, injectors, and regulator. The regulator controls the pressure at the injectors and bleeds excess fuel back to the tank via the return line. The HP pump is is a tight tolerance unit that can be damaged by being allowed to dry run. If your current situation is similar to what you had before replacing the LP pump and filter, you might have to locate and replace the HP pump.

Bleeding the line via removing the feed hose at the rail and running pumps till you get fuel flow might indicate that you are able to get fuel to the motor, but does not indicate the pressure that it arrives at, i.e. it may be getting pumped through the HP pump rather than being pressurised by it, and not have sufficient pressure to reliably run the motor.

Getting back to the original question, sorry I don't have a reliable mechanic (fixed or mobile) to reccommend, used to have one in FTG but he retired and moved to Drouin a few years ago. If you need to go alone try to get hold of a manual via a library of download.

I've finally got one I trust in North Dandenong.
Little outside Glen Waverley but seems to do a good job for a fair price (I did not say good price, I said fair).

He's opposite the bunnings on gladstone rd and Princess Hwy.
"Endurance auto transmissions" but they do all mechanical stuff as well.

There is only the one pumb
I'm now thinking it may be the regulator which sits on top of the pumb unit which is then all installed in side the tank.

Did you get this sorted?

No not yet been to busy and lazy lol
