Nice new manometer.
Here's a new manometer I've just made. The top and bottom platforms consist of a neoprene gasket sandwiched between two pieces of ply, the inner piece of ply having 35mm holes to locate the two 35mm, clear, acrylic tubes. The two platforms are brought together via three lengths of all thread to seal the tube ends on the neoprene gasket, then the inner nuts are tightened to compress the gasket. The tubes are linked at the bottom via an 8mm plastic hose and two tubes are inserted at the top of the tubes for attachment to the inlet tract. Each tract tube has a Delrin plug, with a 0.8mm jet hole, inserted in the end of the tube. Both tubes are 1/3 filled with fluid. To use, attach the end of the tract hoses to the barbs on the inlet manifold and start the motor. Adjust the butterflies until the fluid levels are even at idle, then repeat with the throttle open. Carbs are now synchronised.
