Thanks Bob. Past experience with customers cars and after treatments is the reason I dont like and have never used these products and the Choice article is a good one. I haven’t heard of this product - thats why I was asking if anyone had experience with it. You never know when something “super Dooper” may hit the market

Yeah it's really hard to know if these products do anything long term as modern vehicle paints have come such a along way. We recently traded in our 2012 Forester for a new vehicle. The Forester had been parked outside all its life and been back and forth and around stables 3-4 times a week. I reckon we had only washed it maybe once every two years in that time and a couple fo those washes were after it was in a prang - one with roo and the smash repair people did the washing. Before we traded the Forester in it got a wash and I was amazed how well it came up. The plastic headlight covers were also lightly fogged/yellowed but a serious rub with tooth paste worked a treat on those. The only thing that did not come up 100% was the rear cargo compartment where there were some small worn patches where the dogs spent a lot or time. For the new vehicle we have installed a cargo compartment cover

My fried who was a dealer principle for 35 years told me they are a complete scam, were the reviews online no way of telling the accuracy. Just go and watch your car being detailed and you will see just how tough modern car finishes are.

Just getting opinions to back up my original thoughts.
Seems from the responses that no one has actually come across this exact product but from the blurb it’s more suited to aircraft.

Slightly related...I went with my father years ago to buy a new hilux.

Deal was basically done, and they tried selling extra warranty or something. My father just said "It's a Toyota, isn't it?" and with that the salesman gave a resigning sigh, and finished up the paperwork.

I agree Lappa youtube vid was rubbish.

I've never bought a new car for myself as my daily vehicles have either been used cars or new leased vehicles through work but I did go with my son and SWMBO to help them buy their new vehicles. No Ming Moll at either place.

The extras salesperson in my sons case but was a 60 something female who came straight out and said "son, you got a great deal on that vehicle and now we have some great deals on extras". When my son said "nope" to all her offers her nose was well out of joint and she accused my son of being a "tough cookie" which I thought was a good description of her.

In the case of SWMBO's vehicle the vehicle salesman was 40 something "Mr Nice bloke", and the Ming Moll was a ~25year old bloke with a snappy crew cut and what looked like a tidily trimmed 3 day growth. He started his extras sales pitch in a great flurry of words and brochures but I held my hand up and told him firmly, I know you have to do your job but before you go too far we won't be buying any extras so its up to you if you want to go through your full sales pitch or not. There was moments awkward silence - I smiled - he frowned, short pause - you could hear the brain gears sizing me up - then he said OK (and as it was during COVID there was no handshaking) and we left.

Our accessory sales guy was the guy that took the deposit - just happened to bring up the accessories while giving us a receipt.
Best one was front and rear dash cams - “ usually $1740 but on December special for $1425”.
Actual price is $649 installed at home.
