THE Great Race
What an awesome driving display by Craig Lowndes in the last 15 laps, to come within a second of victory. I'll bet Nick Percat it still pinching himself this morning, wondering if it was all a dream.
And a HOLDEN 1, 2, 3... Top weekend.
And a big fat RASPBERRY to Channel 7 for your advertising placement in the last 20 laps. Two passing moves that decided podium places, you had to replay after the ad break. What knucklehead made that decision?Too many projects, so little time, even less money! Are you a registered member? Why not? click here to register. It's free and only takes 37 seconds! How often would you see a race that is run over 7 hours finish with a gap less than a cars lenght.
Great finish and kudos the all teams concerned a great day had by all.

That was an awesome drive by Lowndes, and lets not forget Skaife as well. Another lap and it may have been a different story. Skaife/Lowndes were behind the 8 ball (or is that the 88 ball) all day, especially when it came to the pit stop queuing.
A special mention should go to the entrepreneur I saw in the Landcruiser, charging $20 to tow bogged cars out of the car park
The question is...... will Skaife now retire 'full time' and take up the head gig in the V8Supercar commission, or keep racing?

I was watching the more exiting Japanese F1 on the other TV while that played to an empty room.
