Two Red Indians
In Prague at the Narodni Technicke Muzeum. Might be of interest to some. The first machine is a 1915 980cc model and the other beauty is from 1931. A 1265cc four.
The museum did not contain the machine tool colllection I was hoping for, but there was enough to keep me interested for 6 hours. Naturally enough, the Nikon took a hammering. I will post more later.

That's the technological museum of Prague? I've been there.
Some wonderful things, like the super "Beetle" car with a rear engined, air cooled V8 from the 1930's. (After all, Porsche pinched the idea for VW from Tatra, who also made a flat 4.)
I saw a small American lathe there - an Atlas I think?

My grandfather "raced" the 980cc along the Guildford Rd in 1920! Beautiful pics; thanks for taking the forum on your tour. Safe trip.

Sorry Ray, it didn't belong in Metalwork, it was meant to go in Motor Vehicles (see forum description) but I was fumble fingered
Just as an observation, there is a tendency to post everything in the one forum that members most frequent, sometimes that is not the most appropriate place for it, as is the case here.

Harleys, Popes and Indian Chiefs!!! Brings back memories.
BBrother and his mate picked up a 1265cc four many years ago. Big brute of a thing! Hung over the open tailgate of an FC ute by some distance!

A replica of the fastest Indian was brought to a Sydney bike shop to promote the movie. It was so convincing it could have been the actual bike. Even all the mechanicals behind the fairing were carefully copied. As it was only on screen for a few seconds in the workshop scenes, there was no need for this level of detail for the movie.

As they are both forms of transport I would suggest you post them in this forum.
If they were posted in the Metalwork Forum a lot of people would never see them.
Hope you are enjoying your trip, love your photos of the Indians and look forward to the photos of the push bkies and locomotives.
