How do you replace stop light globe in Holden Barina - UPDATE
How do you replace stop light globe in Holden Barina
One of the stop lamp globes has blown and I want to replace it but don't know how. I know that sounds stupid, You just unscrew the two screws in the rear lens and pull the assemble out and replace the globe,, Nope, it doesn't work that way, I have tried to remove the light assembly that way and there is no way it will detach from the body of the car.
When this happened last time I rang Holden dealer from where I bought the car and was told a special tool has to be used or you will damage the paintwork on the car trying to remove the light assembly. I took the car to the service dept and had it replaced but this seems to be going over the top to have a light globe replaced.
I was wondering if the globe is accessible from inside the boot of the car through the rear paneling and if so, is there any little trick I should know in removing it to access the globe assemble.
I don't know why a car manufacturer is making it this difficult to replace a light globe.
Anyone know how it is done.?
The car is a 3 door hatch and is a 2009 model. Holden Barina.

UPDATE
The thread above is a few years old, and I got there for the same reason the original poster asked the question, and no one at the time adequately answered the question.
See it here https://www.woodworkforums.com/f116/replace-stop-light-globe-holden-barina-134899
I eventually worked it out, and as it is the only thread on any forum that deals with this problem, I'm posting the answer in case it is of use to someone else.
The answer is that there are two obvious screws to the side of the tail light which can see when you open the boot. What is not obvious is what you have to do to then get the tail light out. You pull it out! But not so fast, as there is a strong chance you will bust the tail light if you don't do it right. There are two studs on the back of the tail light (the boy bits) that poke into small sockets (the girl bits), but they are assembled without grease, and after a few years of rain and dust, like two dogs bonking in the street, they do not want to come apart.
Here is a picture - take note of the studs (sorry if this is small, I copied it off ebay)
TailLightRear.JPG
If you use a screw driver to lever it out, you will scratch the adjacent paintwork, and a high chance you just break out a bit of the plastic of the tail light. I got a piece of wood about 35mm wide and shaved it to a point, as if it were a very wide screw driver. It needs to be sharpish to fit it in the small gap between the light and the body work. Poke it in, wiggling your way in so you can wedge the light outward.
For me one of the studs pulled out of the tail light, remaining stuck in the socket, presumably because of grit stopping it slipping out. Where's KY when you need it The light will eventually pop outward. I had to use pliers to pull out the recalcitrant stud, and araldite it back into the tail light. I also put a small dob of grease in the socket so the stud will pop back in easily.
So that's it - hope that helps.

I have to do a friends every now and then, since when did it become reasonable that a normal person has to start dismantling the car to change a globe.
Mind you I need to do the same to my 95 fairlaine to change the rear bulbs.
I would have thought that you should be able to drive into a service station and swap a bulb if it dies as mandatory by Aus standards with nothing more than your fingers.
All the front facing globes are.
Is the rear globes optional now??
The primitive tools you get with the car are not suitable or extensive enough to do this.
