Default They must be slow learners

Watched a bit of the V8 Super cars desert race in that overseas place over the weekend. Now this is the 3rd year they have gone there to race in front of no spectators again... or am I missing something. Seems like a recipe to go broke if you ask me. If they went to a venue here in Australia and no spectators showed up you can bet your bottom dollar they wouldn't go back there again.

I noticed that as well, yet they are in discussions for two rounds either next year or the year following with a stop-over in Singapore on the way home. If Bahrain is prepared to put up the money, why wouldn't they go there but I feel for the drivers and teams performing in front of empty stands.

"Performing" is exactly the right word. Just a lot of actors nowadays if you ask me... just like the old Wrestling crap.

From the newspaper article I read, there seems to be a few die hard V8 supercar fans over there. One of the owns a V8 Monaro (american version). He has the kind of money that would take us thousands of lifetimes to accumulate. If that's how he wants to spend it ok by me. (just think of what kind of 'SHED' you could have with that money).

His passion, his money, his enjoyment. If the the teams didn't want to go there they wouldn't. Then again they are being paid so it's no cost to them (other than the panel damage) so why wouldn't you go and show your stuff.
