    Default Acrobat 8 background

    Recently put AR8

    Not happy with it.

The background comes up like graph paper.

Almost impossible to read small text in catalogs.

Is it possible to change AR to a white background?

I've AR 8 and don't have that problem. I think your computer is getting sicker.

Can you post a picture of the problem document?

The document is secured so I cant copy it to clipboard easily.

Hers another one with a graphic background which is ok but you can see the margins are hatched. A document without a graphic background is like this all over making it difficult to decipher text.

Just had a look, I got version 8.0.0

swmbo has version 8.1.0 and has no problems opening the same file.

Think I'll totally uninstall my version then install 8.1

Have you tried repairing Acrobat reader, Go to "Help" on the menu bar and click "Repair Acrobat Reader Installation
    Reality is no background music.
