    Default Acrobat Reader

    Hi there,
I've just come up against a computer problem that's never been there before. Whenever I go to open a web based pdf I get a pop-up headed by "Plug-in" and saying "Could not launch Acrobat". I have Acrobat Reader 5.0 installed, so somehow the program is not being accessed automatically.
I use Firefox and have done for several years, so don't know what's changed...but do I need to change preferences or settings to enable this automatic route?
Any help gratefully accepted by this Luddite!

    Cheers,
    Andy Mac

G'day Andy. I reckon I'd go to www.adobe.com/reader and download the latest version. They're up to version 9 now...

    Thanks Silent!
I just did that and it seems to have fixed the problem. At first Firefox wouldn't allow the download, so there must be some clash?
    Anyway, back to normal now.

    Cheers,

Not sure about the clash problem. My thinking was that by installing the new version you'd reinstate whatever settings were missing to get it all working, and get the new version as well into the bargain. Glad it worked out.
