Aldi Media Player
I just bought an Aldi Android Media Player with the aim to play movies and music from a 1Tb HDD on our network.
I have put a lot of our CD collection on the HDD but I have 2 problems with playing music.
First of all I can only get it to play the music through our TV via the supplied HDMI cable. When I plug a cable in to the AV Out socket I can't get sound, either by pluging it in to the TV AV In connection and choosing that as the Source va the TV menu, or by plugging it in to one of the Yamaha amp's inputs.
The other issue I have is with shuffle. In the car I can put a selection of albums on a USB stick and play different tracks at Random from all albums on the stick.
On the Aldi Media player when I select shuffle it will only shuffle the tracks on the selected album.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Fred there are q few different media players b Aldi Andriod which one in particular?
I have had similar problems with a HDD recorder and AV using separate sound cables was the only solution. Like on the original Playstations had to use an AV and sound cables.
Shuffle could be software check on line and see if there is a Hardware or software update.

The one in this week's brochure Ray.
I am using a separate AV cable for the music, 3.5mm phone plug in to the socket on the Media Player to 2 RCA sockets on the amp.
Doesn't work on either the amp or the AV1 or 2 input on the (digital) TV.
Movie and music sound is fine via HDMI cable direct to TV.
I don't have HDMI on the amp.

Ok will have a look check your user manual if it came with one.
Fred I have found that our TV will not allow AV and RCA as well as HDMI at same time
I did a silly thing I have many many RCA and Jack cables some how the jack cable I grabbed was MONO not Stereo or a mono to stereo

Had some free time (and inclination) today and got most things working.
First of all I established that the 3.5mm/RCA output is mutually exclusive with the HDMI, you can only use one or the other.
Also found that the TV has an AV OUT port so connected this to a free AV IN port on the amp.
So everything is now working except shuffling across albums, but I can either make playlists, or put lots of tracks from different albums in to one folder and shuffle within that folder.

Hi,bit late to the party... but take a look at installing Kodi (http://kodi.tv/about/) - I've found it to be brilliant for playing all different types of media formats, and the plugins like internet radio stations are a bonus. You are able to shuffle music in the Kodi player, by right clicking on the folder and queuing it as well as creating playlists etc.
